• Notes: Paul Koppenhaver acquired the exonumia portion of the Sol Kaplan estate in the early 1970s with the assistance of Abe Kosoff. Sol Kaplan had a massive amount of material including hundreds of unlisted Civil War Tokens. Koppenhaver brought several boxes of better Civil War Tokens to the 1976 ANA convention, where a true feeding frenzy of collectors attempting to get the shot at previously unknown tokens occurred. Most of these were ultra-rare tokens in very high grades. Obverse die state: Some roughness at border, especially over QUEEN (QUEENSWARE). • Reverse die state: Die State II. • Data: 135°. 63.0 grains, 19.2 mm.
