Samuel L. Fithian is listed as a merchant in the 1860 Federal Census for Absecon, NJ. There is a vignette of the American flag in the center accompanied by a vignette of Ceres kneeling with a Native American woman at left and a 10 denominational counter at right.  This high grade Remainder has also earned the positive comment “Selvage Included.” The couple of problemed and circulated examples we have offered recently were fully issued and realized in the upper hundreds of dollars each.
