Apalachicola, FL- Bank of West Florida $10 Nov. 18, 1832 G32 Benice 4 PMG Very Fine 30. The charter for this bank was originally approved, over the Governor’s veto, in 1829. The bank moved from its original location in Marianna to Apalachicola in 1832. The bank closed its doors in 1837 but was briefly revived in 1832 before suspending for the final time in 1842. The design features Liberty seated by a shield containing state coats of arms flanked by a portrait if Washington at left and ten stacked 1799 and 1800 bust dollars at right.
