CIVIL WAR STORECARD TOKEN…………
Ohio–Troy. Undated (1861-1865) David Kelly. Fuld-880E-6a. Rarity-10. Copper. Plain Edge. AU-58 (PCGS).
19 mm. With subtle powder blue and rose highlights to dominant copper-brown patina. This is a rare and desirable muling that combines the obverse dies from two different merchants, across two different states (Ohio and Pennsylvania). It was made for collectors, rather than for commercial use, and is one of few novodels in the Civil War store cards series with so radical a die pairing.
Provenance: Ex George J. Fuld; Mark Glazer; Q. David Bowers Reference Collection.
