The back of the note has two interest paid stamps from Savannah, GA and a hand issued endorsement that reads, “Issued August 11th 1862 H. M. Davenport Capt & A.Q.M.” Hugh McCall Davenport was the regimental QM in the 1st Regiment, Georgia Infantry during the Civil War.
