Description
Manuscript Endorsement “Felix Senac Paymaster” T41 $100 1862 PF-23 UNL PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
This note, which has the telltale T in the field to the left of the center vignette, was originally issued to the field by John Boston, Savannah Depositary on Nov. 15, 1862 and then disbursed by Felix Senac, Paymaster, Confederate Navy, on May 2, 1863 (probably from Atlanta). The note also has red IP stamps for Macon, GA paying interest to January 1, 1864 and 1865. This, coupled with the note’s condition, strongly suggests that the note probably never saw any meaningful time in circulation or left the Macon, GA area.
