Manuscript Endorsement “N. B. Brown Capt. & AQM” T39 $100 1862 PF-13 Cr. 294 PMG Very Fine 30.
The back of this note has a black “Issued Sep. 9th, 1862.” stamp and a manuscript endorsement of “N. B. Brown / Capt. & AQM.” Nathan B. Brown was confirmed Captain and AQM on June 1, 1862 and was serving as Paymaster in Savannah at the time this note was issued. He was paroled on May 1, 1865 at Greensboro, NC. The note was reissued March 5, 1863 by John Boston in Savannah with additional IP stamps from Augusta and Savannah also present. PMG notes a few pinholes.
