Military Endorsement “Stephen Edgar Rumble Capt & AQM” T40 $100 1862 PF-20 Cr. 308 PMG About Uncirculated 50 EPQ.

Captain and Assistant Quarter Master Rumble issued this $100 on March 5, 1863. He is listed as an R15 note endorsement in the Fricke Field Edition 2014. The back of the note has a large format Treasurers Office Richmond stamp, indicating it was issued on March 5, 1863 along with a manuscript endorsement “Issued March 5th / 1863 / S.E. Rumble Capt. & AQM”. Captain Rumble served with the 7th Mississippi Regiment until late in the war. He surrendered with the Army of the Department of Alabama, Mississippi, and East Louisiana, and was paroled on May 22, 1865.
