UNL PMG Very Fine 20….At the time this note was issued by Duncan, he was likely serving as Captain and AQM at Salt Sulphur Springs, VA, acting as QM of the 2nd Brigade, Army of Northern Virginia. The host note is dated January 9, 1863 and has the telltale T in the field at the left side of the hoer vignette. PMG notes some incidental staining which does not distract much from Duncan’s dark and bold manuscript endorsement on the back…..….…..
