A very attractive token from the personal collection of Richard Rossa. Obverse die state: Some clash marks at lower left of hat. Die crack from the hat, through the tops of 63, to right rim, slightly more prominent than seen on copper and brass strikings of 630-AN-1 (previous variety). Raised die flaw from border to left of 1 (1319). • Reverse die state: Hairline crack from rim to left of 1 (1863) upward to the left to the star. Crack from hyphen through Y (YORK) downward through bottom of OR then to left center of K; at lower left corner of R a branch of the crack goes downward to just left of the upper right shield point. Die bulge or injury extends left from 1 in date, through star, to N (NEW)
