The notes from the St. Joseph branch are identical to their Apalachicola counterparts, with the town of issue changed to St. Joseph. The $5 has an idyllic river scene with a steamboat majestically steaming past two spectators on the shore flanked by identical vignettes of a farmer holding a sickle. Portraits of Washington and Jackson appear in the end panels. PCGS notes that the paper is toned and that there are a couple of small edge notches in the lower margin, right of center. Notes from the St. Joseph branch are significantly more rare than their Apalachicola counterparts.
