CONFEDERATE CURRENCY………This solid problem-free mid grade example was printed by Southern Bank Note Company in New Orleans, who continued printing notes until the city surrendered to a Union naval task force at the end of April, 1862. It has always been popular with collectors due to its excellent design and bright red-orange protectors which remain unoxidized on this note. These notes in problem-free condition are becoming more difficult to obtain as collectors clamor to add one to their collections in nice condition.
