Description
T32 $5 1861 PF-1 Cr. 246 PMG Very Good 10…..
A note that was created from a plate donated to the CSA Department of the Treasury by the Mechanics Savings Bank of Savannah and is the sheetmate of the Cr. T23 $10 Treasury Note. Only 20,333 notes were issued before the designs were abandoned. Many sources feel that there must have been an issue with the plate that prevented further production. This is a popular type with both CSA and obsolete paper money collectors due to the tie between the two entities. A well circulated yet uncancelled example of this popular “Blacksmith and Boy” with no repairs, or meaningful impairments
