Obsolete Currency..........Rare New Jersey Obsolete Kaighn's Point, NJ- Kaighn & Stone 25¢ 1862 Wait UNL Remainder PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ. A rare note on a location and an issuer that I have never before seen, much less even offered. Both the location and the merchant are not listed in New Jersey's Money by George W. Wait. It is quality piece of scrip printed in red and black ink on the back of fiscal paper. This example has two extra wide margins. Kaighn's Point is in Camden County and this issuer was a dealer in flour, feed, and coal. Probably unique!!!

Obsolete Currency...Toledo, OH- J.V. Montgomery & Co. 50¢ Tiffany Commission Scrip ND (ca. 1873-74) Wolka UNL PMG Very Fine 30.. This was a previously unknown Tiffany Commission Scrip note and issuer before 2020. .....J. V. Montgomery was a dealer in stoves, tin ware, cutlery, and housekeeping goods located at 265 Summit Street in Toledo. The scrip was good for 50¢ off of a $6 purchase. This was a bit different than many other commission scrip terms in that the discount was 8.33% and sales could apparently be either cash or credit. The sales message and details on the back are in both English and German. At present we believe this note is unique.
